Potential Audience

Due to our film being a hybrid genre, this raises the question of what audience to exhibit our film to and what age rating to give our film as science fiction and comedy can both range from PG -18 depending on how graphic or how explicit our film will be.

For our film we have decided that the best potential audience to distribute our film to is 12 year olds and over. We have decided on this film through many factors such as their could be some distressing footage in the film for younger kids due to our main character getting stuck in the past. Additionally, in our film there is also scenes of implied violence in our film which could further distress a younger audience. However, due to our film having only slap stick comedy violence we have decided to give our film a rating of a 12 over a 15 due to the minimal violence that occurs throughout our film.

When applying the certificate to our film, we also took into account the questionnaires that we handed out to people of our own age to see if they had the same perspective on the film as us. The results depict that the majority of our questionee's voted age 12 whilst some voted PG. Therefore our film is supported by the public by having a certificate of 12.
