This pie chart indicates that the most favoured poster was the poster in the middle of the three options as this received the majority of votes at 80%.


 
When asking this question, the majority of the audience thought that our film was aimed at anyone who wanted to watch the film whilst the second highest vote was tied between children and teenagers. For our film we wanted to primarily aim our film towards teenagers however the more views our film received, the more successful our film was.
 

 
Due to our film posters looking professional and sophisticated we decided to ask this question to see if the posters were good enough to encourage our audience to see the film based on this piece of advertisement alone. Due to the audience mainly saying yes, this meant that our posters were successful in attracting our target audience due to nobody saying no.
 
 
 
Creating our film posters was an interesting experience as we had the challenge of matching the theme of our film with the posters we had created. Therefore we decided to ask the audience what they thought of our posters and they all stated positive comments which lead our posters to be successful and professional.

What defines a short film

Short films are officially described as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits".

The budgets of short films are often considerably lower than the feature length. An example of this could be alluded to using The Blair Witch Project, which brought in $249 million on a film that was shot with a $60,000 budget. As a result, the short film could be argued to have brought about a key impact on how prevalent they can become in the industry of film as a whole.

Due to the low budget, short films are often made using the cheapest and most efficient methods possible. To purport to one specific point, sound and lighting are crucial to control. Ensuring that filming is done using natural lighting and that the quality of the audio is picked up without pesky background noises would be a key element once shooting is commenced. Feature films prefer to use "lavalier" mics as they are primarily the main faculties of reducing this type of disturbance therefore short films would also benefit significantly by using these types of mics.

Ideas for a viral ad

Creating a viral ad for the film is something that could present a multitude of opportunities.
Initially, we may produce something alluding to the fidget spinner as a toy itself on sale. The spinner could spin constantly and present something comedic similar to the bat symbol in the oldschool batman tv shows.

Alternatively, another viral ad may coincide with the character of Max and the amount of mishaps he has in a day. This would result in provoking a comical approach to the audiences perception of him and therefore may lead to the ultimate end of finding the fidget spinner on the floor.

Using the idea of comedy in the advert would be an integral part of the process and as a result would be an essential requirement. Some methods of introducing this may involve the idea of a montage of bloopers or a sequence of the events that take place however in time random order. This would therefore produce a degree of intrigue and convey the comedic tone effectively.

Radio Spot Analysis

An essential part of marketing, radio spots have been utilised since the early 1900s with the first commercial broadcast being made by the KDKA station on November 2; proving to effectively project the election results of the harding cox presidential race before they were released in the newspapers.






This microcosm of a beginning sparked an entirely new wave of power to the radio advertisements from then on which now results in most major films being broadcasted commercially via radio stations today. Some examples of popular films with radio advertisements involve Gravity and The Great Gatsby.

It could as a result be argued that the radio spots of these films contributed to their success for example, Gravity (Dir. Alfonso Cuaron, 2013) had amassed a successful box office total of $723.2 million.
